Summary
- Apple Arcade is a paid subscription-based service that offers access to ad-free mobile games.
- There are plenty of unique and fun gaming experiences to be had via Apple Arcade.
- Here are three Arcade exclusive titles that I simply can’t get enough of.
Since its introduction back in 2019, Apple Arcade has offered iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and even Vision Pro users a premium subscription-based collection of mobile game titles to choose from. Unlike the majority of standard mobile games, the ones featured within the Arcade service are advertisement-free, in-app purchase-free, and data tracking-free.
While many of the best Apple Arcade titles are high-profile and available across competing platforms, a variety of games have also been developed and released by independent studios, exclusively for Arcade. Here are three in particular that currently remain exclusively available to Arcade subscribers — each of these games is well-crafted, and, personally, I can’t seem to put them down once I’ve booted them up.

Sneaky Sasquatch
Stealthy Sasquatchian silliness
Sneaky Sasquatch is a stealth-style game that tasks the player with controlling Sasquatch, a lovably anthropomorphic mythical creature. As Sasquatch, the goal is to sneak around various campsites, raiding food supplies, digging up buried treasure, cooking meals, and engaging in countless minigames. Tons of quirky situations crop up, including applying for a taxi license, going scuba diving, and even running for mayor in an election campaign. The title is chock-full of personality, with bright visuals and a pleasant graphical style. Gameplay is designed for landscape orientation, and external controller support is available natively. In terms of required storage space, Sneaky Sasquatch is currently sized at 405.2 MB.

Ridiculous Fishing EX
Fantastic fish foolery
Ridiculous Fishing EX is an updated version of the classic Ridiculous Fishing mobile game for iOS and Android — itself an adaptation of the original Radical Fishing Flash game from back in the day. The gameplay loop consists of navigating a fishing hook around obstacles as you descend the depths of the ocean. Once an obstacle is hit, the task then becomes to reel upward and collect as many fish as possible, which can then be shot at once surfaced. Navigation makes use of tilt controls, which are surprisingly intuitive and responsive. Being a from-the-ground-up remake, the visuals are recreated with an attractive 3D polygonal style. The game is designed to be played in portrait orientation, and it’s compatible with external controllers — it currently comes in at an app size of 295.8 MB.

Outlanders 2: Second Nature
Terrific town traversal
Serving as the sequel to the original Outlanders title, Outlanders 2: Second Nature takes the winning formula of its predecessor while dialing the gameplay up to eleven. As a town-building game, the objective is to craft a settlement over time, with elements of survival, strategy, and exploration. The game’s progression is marked by an accumulation of resources, buildings, and population level, with a dedicated campaign mode and daily challenges on offer. Outlanders 2 features pleasant graphics with a day-and-night cycle, casting attractive shadows and dynamic tones of sunlight across the environment. The game itself measures in at 785.2 MB. It can be played in both portrait and landscape orientations, and external gamepad support is present and accounted for.
